Lauren's Ten Year!!

Thanksgiving year 2000, Lauren DaValle went into the hospital with a suspected case of mono, only to discover that at age 15, her heart was failing.  A mere two months later, on January 2, 2001, our dear friend, Lauren, received the gift of a lifetime:  a new heart.

This January 2nd is Lauren's ten year anniversary with her new heart.  Since receiving this gift, Lauren has been promoting organ donation awareness.  Whether she's speaking at schools, doing photo shoots with the Department of Motor Vehicles, or sporting her favorite stickers on her old Jetta, she spreads the word about how valuable organ donation can be.... a second chance at life!

In honor of Lauren's ten year anniversary, her girlfriends who were by her side at 15, and are still with her today, want to encourage her friends and family to donate to the Donate Life America organization in Lauren's honor.  This organization is critical in educating people in the importance of organ donation.

    Congrats Lauren!! I can't believe its been 10 years! You have been so great about spreading the word about organ donation - you really are an inspiration! Cheers to the great memories over the past 10 years, and all the good times ahead! Love you!

    Yay Lauren! I remember New Years Day vividly when you called and said they found you a heart. Unbelievable that ten years have passed since then! I'm glad we're still just as good of friends and will be another 10, 20, 30 years from now. Love you. xoxo
